Configuration & Release Management Engineer (uDeploy and uRelease Must) / San Jose, CA (Locals Preferred)

Position: Configuration & Release Management Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA (Locals Preferred)
Duration: 6 Months
Rate: $470-$480/day all inclusive

Very Important: Client needs someone who has hands-on experience with
uDeploy and uRelease.

Configuration & Release Management Engineer to support and evolve our build
and deployment infrastructure and management.. If you have a passion for
build, release and configuration management and are looking for an
opportunity to be part of a growing technology consulting organization, this
might be just what you are looking for. You will be working closely with
development teams, program managers and operations to ensure fast highly
reliable quality releases.

Responsibilities
. Improve and maintain build automation for continuous integration using
uDeploy, uRelease, Artifactory and Jenkins (Absolute must have)
. System Administration, maintenance and upgrade of build cluster on regular
basis
. Organize and maintain packaging and deployment of third party vendor
libraries [mostly open source]
. Recommend, support and extend build and release tools and processes for a
fast moving development organization
. Proactively improve build and test speed on new and existing builds

Requirements
. At least 3+ years experience in build/release engineering or systems
administration in a Unix environment
. Expert scripting ability in at least two scripting language ( PERL, Ruby,
Groovy etc.)
. Experience building Java based applications with mavent / ant
. Knowledge of software engineering practices: continuous integration,
configuration management, build optimization, build automation, and
deployment
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
. Working in a continuous build/integration environment
. General Linux systems administration-level knowledge and system level
debugging skills
. Experience in installing, configuring and debugging open source software
[strace and other tools]
