This is turning out to be quite a year. Just half way through and we have four big achievements.
This happened because thousands of us signed petitions, sent faxes, made calls, or forwarded mails. These victories are a means to a safe and green planet.
If more and more people fight for this planet, saving it would become easier.

Here's what we have accomplished so far:
Mayapuri Exposé: A surprise check at the scrapyard at Mayapuri in Delhi showed high levels of radiation including two hotspots which registered 5,000 times higher than normal background levels after it was declared safe by the government. We ensured that the government bodies came back and cleaned up the place. Read more »
Nestlé Relents: Calls and emails asking Kit Kat makers to give orangutans a break worked. Nestlé announced that it would stop using products that come from rainforest destruction. Read more »
E-waste Resolution: After years of persistent campaigning, the government of India finally notified the Draft E-Waste (Management & Handling) Rule, 2010. The rule makes the producer responsible for the entire lifecycle of the electronic product, introduce green electronic products in the market and make E-waste recycling safe. Read more »
Brinjal over Bt: Environment minister Jairam Ramesh could not ignore public opinion. He declared an indefinite moratorium on the entry of Bt Brinjal in India. Read more »
