Be a Hero. Save the Climate.

The world's focus will be on Copenhagen this December. Tell Manmohan Singh to be there too!

Dear Vikas Thakur,

Tck. Tck. Tck.

Time is running out. There's less than one month until the UN climate summit in Copenhagen and negotiations are deadlocked.

We're standing on the cusp of a global crisis, and it's going to take the presence of the world's leaders in Copenhagen to sort it out. It is the heads of state who are ultimately responsible for their countries and people, the decisions that need to be taken at Copenhagen are ones that require their presence. We can't afford a deadlock. Dr. Singh has NOT confirmed that he will go. The future of a billion people rests on his decision.

Millions of people are being rendered homeless by the impacts of a changing climate
UN General Secretary, Ban Ki Moon, has called on world leaders to go to Copenhagen and "rise to the greatest challenge we face as a human family". Gordon Brown has agreed to go, and today Obama hint's he'll be going - Dr. Singh must go too!

More than 66000 Indians have signed up to be Green Idols and asked the Government to act on climate change.

Our PM's made some great moves so far. Thanks to pressure from people like you, he's pledged to keep dangerous temperature rise to below the 2 degree level. We have a national climate action plan. Are we really going to let him miss this crucial moment in history? Deals will be struck there that will decide the future of our planet and India has to be there too.

Tell Manmohan Singh we need him to be at Copenhagen!

The Indian democracy is run by the largest collection of citizens in the world, and one of them is you. You're also one of the 6.5 billion people across the world that will be affected by climate change. Can we make our voices heard? Yes, we can. Can we sit by and let this deal be struck without India's leader present? You bet we can't.

Click here to watch a video showing how climate change is affecting our world. Then email Manmohan Singh to tell him to go do something about it.

Tck. Tck. Tck. This is our world, and this is our future. Make your voice heard. And thank you.

What should Manmohan Singh do this December? Take his place amongst world leaders and save the climate? Or watch the cricket?
