They are sexy, beautiful and they light up the screen with their acting prowess. Till a few months back, thanks to lack of movies, actresses like Rani Mukherji, Preity Zinta and Lara Dutta had piled on the pounds. But now they are back with a bang and they are ready to impress you with their svelte and sexy figures.
We tell you how they went from fat to fit.
Rani Mukherji in Dil Bole Hadippa
The Bong babe was on a self-imposed exile after duds like Ta Ra Rum Pum and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic last year. But this year she's back as Veer and Veera in Yash Raj films Dil Bole Hadippa. She followed a strict diet regimen and practiced yoga along with weight training religiously for two hours everyday. She managed to lose a whopping eight kilos.
According to her trainer, she didn't miss the gym even one day. And the results are for all to see. Rani is flaunting her new-found sexy image in the Dil Bole Hadippa promos. Let's wait and watch if the movie manages to create some magic at the box office.
Preity Zinta in Main aur Mrs Khanna
After her team (Kings XI Punjab's) debacle at the Indian Premier League and her break up with long time beau Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta has been lying low. But recently, we caught her turning up the heat with her latkas and jhatkas in the promos of Main aur Mrs Khanna.
The effervescent actress is playing a cameo in the film co-starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor. She will be seen in a song called Happening. Surprisingly, she has toned down quite a bit. She followed a special diet, a strict exercise regime and practised yoga.
Lara Dutta in Blue
Earlier she was in news for her much talked about love life. Now she's hogging the limelight for her fab figure and dare devil stunts in Blue.
Did you know that Lara Dutta was petrified of water and didn't know swimming before she signed on Anthony D'Souza's Blue? D'Souza packed her off to Lakshadweep to get her over the phobia. The actress took lessons from a professional diver. And now, not only has she been certified as a deep sea diver by an international agency in the US but she can also dive up to 70 feet.
The leggy lass also swims for two hours everyday to shed off all the excess flab. She combines weight training with gravity training and cardio training four times a week. All we can say is that Blue might not really set the cash registers ringing but Lara will definitely be the cynosure of all eyes with her hot bod!
